Apollo.io: Great for the US, Poor for DACH#
Apollo.io is one of the most popular B2B sales tools worldwide. Over 275 million verified profiles, built-in email sequences, CRM integration — for the US market, it's excellent.
For the DACH region? Not so much.
The Data Quality Problem#
Independent tests show: Apollo.io has a real email accuracy of only 65-80% in the DACH region — not the advertised 91%. Phone numbers sit at about 50-70% accuracy.
Why is that?
1. Missing Umlaut Conversion#
German names have umlauts: Müller, Böhm, Günther, Straße. Apollo.io doesn't correctly convert these to email addresses:
